The Allergy Team is delighted to introduce a programme of webinars and online drop-in sessions to support your school to manage food allergy, boost staff confidence and help keep pupils safe.

We understand it can feel complex but by sharing best practices and drawing on expert advice, we can work together to transform food allergy management in schools.

food allergies & mental health

When food is something to be scared of, it can have a devastating impact on mental health. So how can schools support pupils (and staff) who might be struggling?

We’re pleased to announce that Clinical Psychologist, Dr Karen Murphy is joining us to discuss Food Allergies and Mental Health on Friday 3rd February at 1pm.

Dr Murphy specialises in supporting adults and children living with food allergy. She works in a busy allergy clinic at an NHS hospital, as well as in private practice.

This event will include a brief presentation by Dr Murphy, outlining the ways in which food allergy can affect mental health (including friendships, socialising and causing anxiety) and strategies to help. Following the presentation Dr Murphy will take questions live from staff.

This event will be hosted by Sarah Knight, CEO of The Allergy Team.

Staff from our Member Schools have FREE access to this event, but please register in advance.
