The government is overhauling Supporting pupils at school with medical conditions (2015) with new statutory guidance for allergy safety. From September 2026, schools in England will be required to have:

- RA named senior leader overseeing allergy
- RA dedicated allergy safety policy
- RHigh quality allergy and anaphylaxis training for all staff
- RSpare adrenaline pens (AAIs)
- RIndividual Healthcare Plans for all pupils whose allergies require active management
