The complete School Allergy Safety Toolkit

Everything your school needs to meet the new statutory allergy guidance, all in one place

New statutory guidance will require every school in England to meet mandatory allergy safety standards by September 2026.

We’ve been supporting schools to implement allergy management best practice for years and we’ve been working with the government to shape the new guidance.

Now we’ve packaged our expertise into our new School Allergy Safety Toolkit, designed to make compliance with the new guidance simple, straightforward and cost-effective for busy schools.

"

Complete, compliant, confident - what the new guidance means for you

The government is overhauling Supporting pupils at school with medical conditions (2015) with new statutory guidance for allergy safety. From September 2026, schools in England will be required to have:

  • RA named governor with oversight of allergy
  • RA named senior leader overseeing allergy
  • RA dedicated allergy safety policy
  • RHigh quality allergy and anaphylaxis training for all staff
  • RSpare adrenaline pens (AAIs)
  • RIndividual Healthcare Plans for all pupils whose allergies require active management

Our School Allergy Safety Toolkit will help you get all this in place. Plus you’ll have access to our award-winning School Allergy Safety Hub.

The Allergy Team is your complete compliance partner.

Named Allergy Governor Training

Most governors have never received allergy-specific training. Our dedicated e-learning and masterclass gives your named allergy governor the knowledge and confidence to fulfil their statutory responsibilities from day one. This is the requirement most schools haven’t even thought about yet. We have you covered.

Designated Allergy Lead Training

Your Designated Allergy Lead (named senior leader) carries real responsibility for allergy safety across the school. Our training ensures they understand the new guidance, know what’s expected of them, and can lead your school’s response with confidence.

Expert allergy and anaphylaxis training for all staff

Not just the catering team. Not just the medical room. Every member of staff needs to understand allergy, how to reduce risk for pupils with allergies and how to recognise reactions and respond to allergic reactions. Our CPD-accredited online training is gold standard, recommended by Allergy UK, and delivered in a way that actually sticks.
