The terms “you” or “your” and “yours” in the Terms apply to you as a User.

In order to access membership, products or Resources from The Allergy Team you will need to provide us with some details.  This is to help us tailor the content of our products for you.  You can read more about how we manage this information by reading our Privacy Policy..

As a User you agree that your details may be used to keep you informed of upcoming events and products.  You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of the email. For administration reasons, we reserve the right to contact you about your membership, products you have bought, or Resources you use via email.

As a User you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and you are at least 18 years old or, alternatively, over the age of 16 provided you have obtained the consent of your parent or legal guardian.  We reserve the right to terminate your registration if we believe you are under 18 years of age and consent of your parent or legal guardian has not been properly obtained.

Your account is for your personal use only unless otherwise explicitly authorised by your membership and/or licencing arrangements (e.g. as a school or corporate account User).  Your account can be shared with a spouse or co-habitant and no one else, unless otherwise stated.  You are responsible for your account at all times.

In using your account, you agree to comply with our Community Guidelines. These Community Guidelines may be updated by us from time to time.

We own all intellectual property rights for the content on our website, in our Resources and any other content we produce.  You will not copy any of the material, reproduce it, edit it, repost it, sub-license, assign or otherwise transfer the rights in it to any other person without our express written consent.

Our website and products may contain links to other people’s services or products. We do not have any legal responsibility for any such third-party products or services.

By signing up as a member (which includes the Essential schools package and Schools Allergy Register) with The Allergy Team you are entering into a legal contract with us on these Terms.  Your membership will constitute a subscription-based service, payments for which you must make to The Allergy Team on a monthly or annual basis. Please note that our membership subscription service for schools and corporate clients is offered on an annual basis only. Membership to the Schools Allergy Register is for a minimum period of one year and renews on a one year rolling commitment, subject to certain other conditions which are additional to these Terms as provided to you when enrolling on the Schools Allergy Register.

You are legally obligated to pay your subscription payment to The Allergy Team when it is due.  Unless otherwise agreed with us in writing, your subscription will be auto-renewed on a continual basis for the same subscription period you signed up to unless you choose to end your subscription before the renewal date by writing to us at info@theallergyteam.com.

Ending your subscription early (for any reason) does not entitle you to a refund for a partially unused period.  You agree to authorise our payment provider to charge your payment card or service for the relevant amounts as and when payment for the products you have chosen is due.

We reserve the right to change our subscription prices from time to time.  For current members, we will notify you by email at least one month before any change to our subscription prices take effect.  If you do not wish to accept the updated subscription price you should cancel your subscription.  If you do not cancel your subscription, after the one-month notice period has passed, the updated subscription price will automatically apply to your subscription on a continuing basis.

School and Corporate members

Please note this sub-section applies to school and corporate members only.

The Resources and Allergy Forum service offered as part of our school and corporate memberships are intended only as an enhancement to existing corporate or school allergy policies and internal training programmes, and it is the responsibility of the school or corporate member to ensure that any information provided in such Resources and through the Allergy Forum service is correctly incorporated into such policies and programmes, and such policies and programmes shall remain the responsibility of corporate and school members at all times during the membership period. Should additional training be requested, this can be purchased separately as a pay-as-you-go product.

Where invited, The Allergy Team visits schools to assess their practice in managing allergies either for a Review, a Temperature Check or to see if the school meets Schools Allergy Code criteria and can be awarded a trust mark and join the Schools Allergy Register. Any accreditation given to a school following a visit or assessment speaks only to such accreditation having been given as of the date the visit or assessment was conducted. The Allergy Team shall bear no responsibility for, or liability to, any school or other User for any standards required to be maintained as part of the Schools Allergy Register. Any assessment made or approval given for a school to join the Schools Allergy Register is based only on facts and information made available to the Allergy Team as at the date such an assessment or visit was conducted.

While The Allergy Team will make all reasonable attempts to support your application, only schools assessed as meeting the criteria laid out in the Schools Allergy Code will be added to the Register and receive a trust mark.   Membership of the Register and permission to display Schools Allergy Register trust mark may be withheld or withdrawn at any time if The Allergy Team judges that a school is not meeting the criteria set out in the Schools Allergy Code. Fees are not refundable in the event that a school does not receive accreditation (including but not limited to where a school’s accreditation is withdrawn) as a result of failing to meet the standards set by the Schools Allergy Code.

As a User, you hereby agree that you will not display any trust mark during any period of time in which you are not a current member of the Schools Allergy Register or in any other manner without the prior approval of The Allergy Team, whether fraudulently or otherwise.

The Allergy Team also offers certain products on a standalone basis, which can be purchased separately from our membership packages and subject to separate quotes.

These pay-as-you-go products are offered on and subject to these Terms, with the exception of the sections entitled ‘Members’ and ‘Cancellation’.

We use third-party providers to collect payments from you on our behalf.  Whilst we always endeavour to use trusted third-party providers, security of your information and payments cannot be guaranteed by us.  Under no circumstances will we be liable for any losses incurred or sustained by members who transmit their information by email or through any other unsecured means.

From the day after starting your subscription, you are entitled to a cancellation period of 14 days without giving any reason, following which your payment will be refunded to you.  Please note however, that this cancellation period will end once you have accessed any of The Allergy Team’s content (e.g. Q&As, Resources or other membership content).

After this 14 day period, or if you have accessed any of The Allergy Team’s content, you may cancel at any time by email to us at info@theallergyteam.com but your cancellation will not take effect until the end of the minimum term.  For monthly subscribers, your cancellation will take effect upon the last day of the month that follows the month in which we received your notice to cancel your membership.  For annual subscribers the minimum term ends on expiry of the contract year during which you give us notice, provided that you do so at least 30 days before that contract year expires. Schools subscribing to the Schools Allergy Register have a minimum term of one year.

Upon termination of your membership with The Allergy Team for use of our products, you will no longer be able to access any of the membership content or display the Schools Allergy Register trust mark unless you renew your membership or purchase new products.

Without affecting any other right or remedy available to us, we may terminate your account with immediate effect should you fail to pay any amount due to The Allergy Team or should you otherwise breach any of these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

We also reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account with immediate effect if any of the information you provide is inaccurate, fraudulent or misleading.  The Allergy Team may also suspend or terminate your account should anyone on your behalf act inappropriately to a member of The Allergy Team staff, one of our experts or another member.  This includes any breach of privacy.

If we suspend your account you will not be able to access content on our website or our products during the period of the suspension.  If we terminate your account you will no longer be able to access any of The Allergy Team’s content.

We reserve the right to terminate this contract at any time without cause.  If this occurs, we will refund in full any fees already paid which relate to the period after termination.

We will comply with all applicable requirements of applicable Data Protection Laws in respect of the information you provide to us. Please see our privacy policy for further information.

No party shall use the other party’s confidential information for any purpose other than to exercise its rights and perform its obligations under or in connection with this agreement.
