⚡ New Statutory Guidance · Effective September 2026
Named Allergy Governor training
Purpose-built training for school governors
Our practical, jargon-free training is designed to fit around your busy life. We’ll help you take on this role with confidence, so you don’t feel out of your depth.
From September 2026, new statutory government guidance requires every school in England to appoint a Named Allergy Governor.
This training is for you if…
- You’ve just been appointed as Named Allergy Governor and want to get this right, but don’t know where to start
- You’re a governor who wants to be proactive and up to speed before September 2026
- You’re a clerk or chair helping your board understand what compliance looks like
If you’re feeling a mix of “I want to take this seriously” and “I don’t know what I don’t know”, you’re in exactly the right place.
What governors say:
💭 “I don’t know enough about allergy to do this properly.” You don’t need to be a medical professional. You need to understand the landscape and know the right questions to ask. That’s exactly what this training gives you.
💭 “What does the new guidance actually require of me?” We’ll show you what good governance of allergy safety looks like, from spare AAIs to managing risk, so nothing falls through the cracks.
💭 “I’m already stretched, I can’t take on a huge time commitment.” The e-learning is self-paced and can be done in your own time. The live masterclass is just 90 minutes. This is training will give you practical support that respects your time.
You don’t need to know everything. You just need the right training.
What’s included?
Part 1: E-learning. Before the live masterclass, you’ll complete a video-based e-learning course so you understand allergy in a school context. No jargon, no medical degree required. You’ll cover:

- How allergy affects children’s experience at school
- Why whole-school responsibility is the key to reducing risk
- The governor’s role in the bigger picture of school allergy safety
📬 E-learning link coming in April 2025. Sign up for the masterclass and we’ll make sure you have everything you need in plenty of time.

- What to look for regarding spare adrenaline auto-injectors (AAIs)
