Allergy Safety Policy Template
Benedict’s Law requires all schools to have an Allergy Safety Policy.
This template is free and can be adapted for any school setting.
It was developed in association with the ISBA and has been clinically approved by Consultant in Paediatric Allergy, Professor Adam Fox.
Please note, this policy was last updated in June 2026 in line with new statutory guidance for schools called Supporting children and young people with medical conditions and allergy (March 2026). This is currently in draft form and our template policy will be updated once the final guidance is published by the Department for Education.
