The role of allergy lead has never been more important

The introduction of Benedict’s Law has seen huge changes in terms of managing allergies and asthma in school. Having a named senior leader who oversees the school’s allergy safety policies is now a statutory requirement for most schools in England and this refresher helps allergy leads to understand their responsibilities and support colleagues with confidence.

Refresher details

Renewing gives you continued access to our ongoing support which includes our weekly update email bulletins, plus access to our drop-in sessions and regular webinars where you can ask questions and swap best practice with other Designated Allergy Leads.

Part 1: 2.5 hours of e-learning. Renewal includes our updated Managing Allergy and Asthma in Schools e-learning which has been updated to be compliant with Benedict’s Law and now includes asthma training. The Foundation and Extended stages must be completed before the live masterclass.

Part 2: 1.45 hours Live Masterclass delivered over Microsoft Teams. Join other Designated Allergy Leads to discuss what Benedict’s Law looks like in practice in settings across the UK. Sessions will cover: how to ensure your school is compliant with Benedict’s Law, managing asthma alongside allergies, how to check staff knowledge and scenarios to help you prepare for allergy emergencies.

Need to rearrange your training?

You can change the date of your live masterclass booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled start time by visiting our booking page and clicking Manage Orders.  You will also find this link at the bottom of your booking confirmation emails.

Please note:

  • Only the person who made the original booking will be able to reschedule.
  • If you are paying by invoice and it has not been marked as paid, you will not be able to change the date online, so please drop us a line at schools@theallergyteam.com and we will help you to do this.
  • You can change your session once, with at least two working days’ notice. If you need to change dates at shorter notice, or more than once, we may have to charge.
