Visit us at the ISBA Conference 2024

ICC Wales, 20-22nd May 2024

Stand 36

Find out why your school should join the 600+ schools and thousands of staff supported by The Allergy Team. We can help you to improve the safety and wellbeing of pupils with food allergies, embed best-practice and to meet your obligations regarding managing medical conditions. These obligations were emphasised by the Prime Minister just last week.

WHY VISIT US?

The Allergy Team has partnered with the ISBA to develop the DfE-backed Schools Allergy Code and the Schools Allergy Register. The Code is framework for best practice, packed with practical guidance for all schools to help you manage food allergies. Schools who want to demonstrate their commitment to the Code can apply to join the Register and will receive a full package of support.

The Register is a list of schools which have been assessed as adhering to best practice in allergy management (as laid out in the Code) and have earned our trust mark. It has proved incredibly popular, both with schools and with parents seeking reassurance that their children’s medical condition will be understood and well managed.

Can’t make the ISBA Conference 2024?

Why allergy should be on your agenda:

Food allergy is not just your caterer’s problem

– On average there are 1-2 pupils with a food allergy in every class of 30
– 20% of severe allergic reactions to food happen to children when they’re at school
– The majority of allergic reactions happen outside the lunch hall
– Having a handful of staff EpiPen trained isn’t enough
– Think inclusion as well as safety
