Dr Polly James is a Clinical Psychologist who specialises in supporting people with allergies. In this session she answered questions on everything from how to support a young child reluctant to eat at school and tips to help a teenager preparing to go travelling with friends, to dealing with anxiety around social gatherings and coping with upsetting stories about allergic reactions in the news.
Dr James works with children and their families to help them cope with the overwhelming impact living with allergies can have on their lives, including anxiety about having a reaction, fears about using adrenaline pens and social anxiety around living with difference.
